UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) are developing a digital system which means that they are replacing physical documents with an online record of immigration status. People who have physical immigration documents will need to create a UKVI account to access their eVisa. An eVisa is an online record of immigration status and the conditions of permission to enter or stay in the UK, such as the right to work and the right to rent in the UK. It will act as proof of immigration status. The UK Government has funded national and local organisations to assist individuals in applying for their eVisa but this support is very limited.

We would like to thank Action Together and Oldham Council for their support.

OAK Community Development ย is here to support vulnerable individuals in Oldham, particularly those from minority ethnic backgrounds through this transition.

We can assist people who may struggle with this process, including:

  • Those from BAME communities
  • Those with physical or mental health challenges
  • People experiencing homelessness
  • Survivors of modern slavery or domestic abuse
  • Anyone who is not confident using digital technology

Through our network of local charities and support organisations, we provide in-person help to set up UKVI accounts and access eVisas safely and securely.
