OAK Community Development understands and recognises how BAME communities and faith-based organisations bring wider benefit to their local communities and the valuable contribution they make in our society. While the strength of faith-based organisations is the strong motivation that derives from their faith tradition, our research has shown that many lack the skills and infrastructure to be able to compete effectively within the Third sector environment.
OAK CD Faith and BAME support programme has therefore been designed and tailored to help groups to improve and build their capacity by modernising their structure and systems to better deliver services and meet the needs of their client groups.
